Ah, the joys of being a working girl. I was able to buy 2 new items this month that I absolutely am in love with. Behold, my new shoes:

Love them, but absolutely impractical, not to mention dangerous considering the rains and the fact that I am clumsy as heck. But damn, they sure do look like they belong on my feet. And really, who cares right, as long as it’s fierce? But note to self: must learn to walk properly in heels!

I love my accessories. Absolutely, unequivocally love them. I can’t help it, I’m drawn to shiny stuff! So last Saturday, I got kinda bored and started to play around with them. And well, they turned out so cute that I just had to share.
These are some of the stuff that I got recently from my good friends Nix, Tita Cyn, and Thea. :D
And these i got for myself! The red dangling earrings and the ones with the teardrops at the bottom are both from SoA (Style on Air) and can be found in Greenhills tiangges, the two black rings are from a tiangge in our office, while the necklace and those sparkly earrings at far right are from people who sell in our office
And then i had some more fun with these. heehee

Kidding! But I do like to drink on special occasions (or made-up special ones. harhar). My favorite poison has got to be vodka, because there is just nothing like a good glass (or 5) of the stuff. I don’t like drinking it straight though, the girl in me loves the cocktails! I also like to experiment with different mixes to make my drinking experience (and by default, my drinking buddies also) a real winner. My new (and very cheap) faves are the bottles above from The Bar. For the Apple variant, my cousins and I have found it sweet enough to drink straight. For the Orange variant, I tried to mix it with Mango juice (concentrate or powdered works fine), and sprite. The result is a sweet and mega-deadly mix. A friend also suggested sweetening it up even more with Orange concentrate (like Sunquick) but I’ve yet to try it.
This one right here though is something that I’ve wanted to try for a while now. My friend Arvin recommended that I try Nordic Ice’s Butterscotch Vodka, and I recently got a bottle straight from Boracay (I have no idea where else to buy it. hahaha) I’m so excited to try it out so calling all my drinking buddies (Clumtards, you know who you are), My bottles of vodka are ready!!!
Of all the types of music that I like listening to, it’s the really sad songs that I absolutely love. There’s just something about a singer singing about heartbreak that gets to me even more than when they’re singing about being happy in love. this is my new nephew, Sean Christian, who I saw for the first time last Friday. And because it bears repeating, cute smooshy babies are absolute <3 <3 <3
One of the restaurants I was lucky enough to cover is Henry’s Place by Good Earth.
When I asked owner Chef Henry Cheung why he opened up a new place when Good Earth was doing really well, he said this was the result of him giving in to loyal customers’ requests to try something new, and he does not disappoint. A lot of the old favorites from the original restaurant are served here, but there are new dishes as well, not to mention weekly additions which are sure to keep both loyal and adventurous stomachs very satisfied.
I suppose you would call this another product of my boredom. I used to write religiously, but I got so busy (and also so lazy) so I let go of my writing habit. I’m trying to revive the habit though. Because aside from it being an outlet of sorts for me, it’s also good exercise to keep writing.

I was looking for a cute screensaver for Mango today, and I just realized that whenever I’m looking for screensavers, only one comes to mind: Johnny Castaway.
I absolutely love Johnny Castaway coz he’s so cute! he just walks around in his little island doing stuff and trying to get out of the island. He was the first screensaver we ever downloaded off the Net back when everything was still dial-up and mega slow. we’d purposely not touch the keyboard and wait for him to load, and squeal like excited parents looking at their kid walk for the first time when he’d do something out of the ordinary. that was a lot of years ago, and i’ve missed him ever since.
