… i’m so excited!!

i really should be working, but i’m just.too.lazy to do anything right now… *sigh* fine i’ll do it tomorrow. i really need to quit this job before i get fired. i’m not getting anything from it anymore, and i’m just so frustrated that i can’t contribute anything worthwhile because I”M NOT GROWING here. i’m hating on the work, i’m hating on the officemate who piles on the work… gaaaaaaaaaaaargh

it’s a wonder i haven’t up and packed my bags already.

badly need some form of sign that says i should or should not stay where i am right now.

and it isn’t just that i need to grow up and see the world for what it really is, because there’s only so much abuse you can take until you can’t take any more. or until you can formally call yourself stupid and/or masochistic for just taking it all without comment.

i think i’ve reached that.

well, this week was fun

last monday, Tippi and brian slept over and it was really fun. tippi brought some san miguel all-malt beer for us to try, and it was yummy i personally don’t like beer, but i’m sorta liking this one.

after that we had a mini-meeting of sorts about Absolute Cousins and we came up with some really great stuff that we hope to share with you guys pretty soon

Thursday, Brian and i met up with Tiffy, Alex and Jeric at Kozui green tea house for some japanese food

Friday was the really long day. Actually, i only had two events yesterday, but since i’m such a homebody, it felt like i was at ten different ones. in the morning, i had the Terry’s Selection event to cover, and since i haven’t gone to a coverage in suuuch a long time, it was really fun. of course the food was great, and of course, having been seated with 2 men who looked at the food like they haven’t eaten in a while, i wasn’t able to get much pictures, except of the main course, which was lechon with caramelized onion sauce sided with glazed pear, pepper and potato, and the accompanying red wine.

my fave was the dessert though, crème brulèe with mangoes inside, and a semi-dulce white wine. i must admit, i am not much of a wine person, but i definitely liked the wines we were given. since it was kind of an informal event, the boys and i had a bit of time to just chill, eat food and laugh around.

once we got back to base, arvin quickly developed an affinity for canon’s color accent.

next i had my boss’ surprise bridal shower. which was boatloads of fun. pictures on my multiply soon

after the shower, my mom picked me up and together with tita cynthia and adi, we had coffee at the coffee bean and tea leaf in capitol hills. i ordered the tropical passion iced tea, which is quickly becoming my fave drink. we also bought a tin of African Sunrise tea, which Brian swears by. let’s see what all the fuss is about.

I was looking for a cute screensaver for Mango today, and I just realized that whenever I’m looking for screensavers, only one comes to mind: Johnny Castaway.

I absolutely love Johnny Castaway coz he’s so cute! he just walks around in his little island doing stuff and trying to get out of the island. He was the first screensaver we ever downloaded off the Net back when everything was still dial-up and mega slow. we’d purposely not touch the keyboard and wait for him to load, and squeal like excited parents looking at their kid walk for the first time when he’d do something out of the ordinary. that was a lot of years ago, and i’ve missed him ever since.

as a lot of you might know, i work for a 24-hour cable news channel, which is a sister company of a major TV network. and because it’s a big company, i guess there’s really room for very stupid people in it.

today, i woke up at 6 in the morning in a panic. checked my phone. no messages. ok, panic over, right? no. a text comes in within a minute of my waking up, with the message i was SO sure i was gonna get: ‘wala daw rms si onyok” hay, sabi na nga ba eh.

before i go any further, allow me to elaborate a bit. RMS means resource management system. basically it’s what you send out if you need equipment, manpower, etc. onyok is our cameraman.

so, back to my story. i go downstairs to get to a phone and call the custodian. he relays to me the problem of the missing rms. but see, i GAVE that rms to the guy in charge of cameramen last week, so there is NO WAY IN HELL, that our cameraman would have no RMS, i relay that to the custodian. ANG SAGOT SA AKIN: “uh, ma’am yung equipment po may rms ba?” ALANGAN NAMANG WALA DIBA??? ano’ng gagawin ng cameraman ko kung wala siyang gamit???? naglolokohan ba tayo dito??? so of course, all i could say without cussing him off the face of the planet was this:  there is NO WAY MY CAMERAMAN has no equipment, my cameraman’s boss talked to my boss yesterday and he gave us that cameraman. my boss talked to your boss YESTERDAY, so YOUR BOSS who also happens to be onyok’s boss’ relative, IS AWARE of our shoot requirements. he says he will talk to his boss when he gets to office. i hang up and am now too agitated to sleep.

at least nakapag-pull out na yung cameraman ko. MORNING KONSUMISYON. sometimes i really wonder why i’m still here, why our group is still here, when we’re surrounded by complete idiots. actually scratch that, i wonder why the NETWORK is still around, given that they hire such idiots. GAH

Our new helper is the best. She’s sort of a neat freak while I, admittedly, am a slob. When I got home today, I find out that not only has the old PC been moved to the first floor (it used to be in my room), but she also had time to rearrange my VERY HEAVY bookshelf, study table and nighttables. this is what my room looks like now:

the bookshelf to the left of my bed was actually at the right, and the white half thing at the right side, my study table, was facing the bed. i literally took a step back when i went in and i was like: “am i in the right house?” LOL now, what i have to figure out though, is where the heck am i going to type?? (i’m currently in my bed, but because i don’t have those folding table thingys that you can prop up on your bed, my hunch back is getting more pronounced by the second. i’m also afraid to use the internet cable for fear that she might curse me with voodoo magic cos i unrolled it. hahaha

I have come to the realization that I have one too many blogs, and although I don’t update quite often anymore (I used to update like, 3x a day when I was new to LJ and hella bored) So here I am writing yet another first post. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother opening up new blogs and confusing my “loyal” readers by coming up with a new one almost every year (yeah i gather it was about a year after i got my LJ that i got my multiply, and then i got a blogspot, and then more than a year after, here we are. oh, i also had a xanga account, but that didn’t work out too well. hehe) so, OK. i promise myself that this will be the LAST blog that i open up. i SWEAR. (i hope i get to keep that promise, though). hahaha so stuff about me. here are ten random things:

1. my work will be the death of me, but i love it to bits
2. i have a tendency to overthink things, and it shows on my face. like you’ll know if i’m thinking about something bad when my face gets scrunched up like bad. haha
3. i love downloading stuff. Demonoid, Mininova, and EZTV are my absolute faves
4. i LOOOVE cheese. and candy. or food in general.
5. i once ate in cold stone/rock/whatever it’s called i keep forgetting, and i asked that they mash up nerds in my ice cream, and up until now, my cousin Tippi’s boyfriend Jones is ribbing me about it. but i LOOOVED it.
6. i am a creature of habit. Like when i go into a restaurant, i always like to order something i’ve ordered previously that i’ve found yummy. it’s hard for me to order anything else when i’ve found something i super like.
7. i love earrings. when i go to Divisoria, i always have to have bought at least 2 pairs of earrings to make my outing sulit.
8. my iPod is the most overused gadget that i have, because i’m really into music. i have these phases where i just download randomly and in huge batches. Among my current faves are: The Script’s The Man Who Can’t Be Moved, John Legend’s Evolver album, Ne-Yo’s The Year of the Gentleman album, and Motion City Soundtrack’s acoustic version of Fell In Love Without You. oh and I’m also liking The Ting Tings.
9. obviously, i like to write, and i have a tendency to ramble on and on and on.
10. i like reading in my spare time. my bookcase is actually within reach from my bed so it’s become a nighttime ritual to pull out a book from a shelf and read until i fall asleep.
